People, purpose & practice

How we work

Great hospitality starts with understanding people. I bring sales psychology, genuine connection and practical service training together — always shaped around your restaurant and your team.

Your restaurant comes first

Listen & observe

We start with a conversation and research on the floor: your guests, your service, your team's confidence and the areas you want to improve.

Make it your own

I turn those insights into a training, authentic to your restaurant. We practice real scenario's, focus on your needs and opportunities.

Grow with purpose

Each team member gets personalised KPI's and set their own goals. We follow the progress and refine the approach to where you want to see your restaurant grow.

The philosophy behind the work

Inspiration into action

I use the psychology of my three favorite books and combine this with my own experience. Combining those ideas help open conversations about the value and purpose of your growth — then we put them into practice for you.

01

The Psychology of Money

Morgan Housel

About the book

Understand the person behind the decision

People's experiences shape how they think about money and value. The same choice can mean something very different to two different people.

In your restaurant

On the restaurant floor, I use this as a reminder to listen before recommending. A guest celebrating a birthday may value something different from someone stopping by for a quick dinner. We practise suggestions that fit the person, not just the price.

Start With Why

Simon Sinek

About the book

Give your team a purpose

A clear purpose gives meaning to what we do. Starting with why helps people connect with the intention behind an action, rather than just the action itself.

In your restaurant

We connect service steps to their purpose: welcoming a guest, making a choice easier or creating a memorable ending. Instead of simply asking the team to sell more, we work on why a thoughtful recommendation adds value to the visit.

03

Surrounded by Idiots

Thomas Erikson

About the book

Adapt the conversation, not the guest

The book offers a colour-based way to reflect on different communication preferences: how directly people speak, how much detail they want and the pace they prefer.

In your restaurant

I use it as observation and understanding. We practise noticing whether a guest wants a quick recommendation, a little reassurance or more detail, then adjust our approach while staying genuine.

Book insights are paraphrased; page numbers vary by edition. The colour framework in Surrounded by Idiots is used for reflection, not as a scientifically validated personality assessment.

“People don't buy what you do; they buy why you do it.”
